Newark and Sherwood Play Support Group (NSPSG)

 

Is a leading registered charity for childrens play. Charity number 701015.

For over 20 years it has actively supported childrens play in the Newark and Sherwood district.

 

It is managed by a committee of people just like yourselves who are committed to providing good play opportunities for local children.

It is funded by local authorities and other grant giving groups.

What we do

The group aims to influence and promote the case for good quality play available for all children in the district, as well as providing information and advice we also provide a range of support resource services.

 

Our Services

Toy Library - Add variety to your own groups stock of toys by borrowing from our toy library. We have a huge selection of toys available for a weekly loan service covering the age range 5-14. It includes bigger more unusual toys such as Giant Connect and Playboards as well as variations on traditional favourites. Loans start from as little as 50p per week.

Equipment hire - We have a wide range of equipment to enhance your play sessions. this includes arts sports and ideas kits such as Stixx machine, Hamma beads, Badge maker and so much more! We also have a range of Sensory and Special needs equipment to hire also.

Scrap Resources - We also have a large selection of scrap materials available for you use.

Mobile Support Unit (MSU) - The Mobile Support Unit supports local communities to develop their own play schemes. The project has kick started many play schemes that have continued to run year after year.

We can help with running and staffing your play scheme.

Committee Management - We are a member run group and are always eager to hear you views on what we do so why not make a difference and join our management committee we welcome anyone interested in childrens play.
